I've been setting up a home studio and looking at the photographs of other artist's studios for inspiration. These two pictures are from my Internet search, both of Claude Monet. The featured photo shows him when he was close to my age. Slouchy hat, ruffled shirt, suspenders-- what a great picture. He was all about fashion, one article mentioned that he often painted in a coat and tie.
The second photo shows him, later in his life, working in his studio. Note the cushy sofa and paintings on the floor, propped up along the walls -- two ideas which I translated into my own little space.
